Baby Magazines
When you’re having a baby everyone wants to give you advice. Some of that advice is great, some good, and some just sounds down right weird. But there is tons of information compiled in many resources. One resource that is easy to read and generally gets straight to the point is baby magazines. Baby magazines are available from just focusing on infants and pregnancy to magazines that have a section for many age groups. If this is your first baby, an infant focused magazine is you best bet, but if you’re having your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th baby, this may be the time to get a multiple age group baby magazine. They not only shares information on caring for your newborn, but also tough on issues like introducing a new baby to its siblings.
So how do you choose the right magazine for you? Some baby magazines address the needs of working mothers, other address the issues facing earth conscience moms, some focus on larger families. Your choice might depend on what type of life style you live. And if you’re like me, many baby magazines address the different issues I wanted information on, so I received several baby magazines. I had one that addressed my desire to stick with breast feeding, one addressed my need for understanding sibling relationships and one than gave me general month to month advice on what my baby was doing that month.
Okay, so now how do you go about finding all the baby magazines that are out there? There are several ways. The first option is just take a peek at you grocery store’s collection the next time you have to go by. This will show you the most popular baby magazines available. To find a larger selection that carries some of the lesser known baby magazines is at your local large book store. If you looking for more natural magazines heavily encourage breast feeding and AP (attachment parenting) baby magazines, there is wide selection at most larger whole food type stores. And the last option is to start searching the internet. If you do this, search for baby magazines that are addressing specific topics. And remember, most magazines offer one free copy so you can take an in depth look at home, just don’t forget to cancel the subscription if it isn’t what you looking for.
